Mary spent 15 years working in information technology. In positions such as information systems manager and systems engineer, she managed programmers, implemented software applications and provided technical consulting services.
While holding technical sales positions at two software companies, Mary was instrumental in supporting top-ranking sales managers by demonstrating software products and customizing them to fit clients’ needs. She has sold, trained, and consulted on products such as application development tools, business intelligence, data warehousing, and document management.
Through her years of software sales experience, Mary realized firsthand the vital importance of strong non-verbal and active listening skills. She has consulted for Power Presentations since 2001 and has trained countless clients on presentation skills that add to their confidence and success. She is also skilled at instructional design including research, design, and development of corporate training programs.
Mary graduated Summa Cum Laude with a master’s degree in Adult Education and Distance Learning. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in Communications and an associate degree in Computer Science.
Mary and her husband became foster parents in the hopes of adopting an older child. Their dreams were realized when their daughter joined the family in 2016. Mary is also a mentor for teenagers in foster care.
Mary lives in both Cleveland, Ohio and Fort Myers, FL where she and the family enjoy working out, golf, tennis, kayaking and entertaining.
