Rachel Mathew joined Power Presentations in 2006. She is responsible for everything you see: The website, marketing materials, e-newsletter, blogs, social media outreach, tradeshows and our extensive collection of PowerPoint decks. She also covers all things webinar-related including setup, technology expertise and serves as producer.

 

Prior to joining Power Presentations, Rachel spent time as the Marketing Coordinator at Cleveland Reads, in Public Affairs at KeyBank, and as a Staffing Supervisor with GreatWork! Employment Services.

 

Rachel graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She currently resides in Ocala, FL with her husband, daughter and two dogs where she spends as much time outside as possible.

Career-defining moment

I always wanted to be a nurse. I majored in nursing in college and started clinicals in my final year. However, I quickly realized that I wasn’t cut out for my career choice when I left the nursing home in tears every day. Consequently, I dropped out of college mid-semester with no idea what to do next. I was devastated. After a lot of soul searching and conversations with friends and family, I ended up at Kent State’s School of Journalism and Mass Communication where I realized my passion for Public Relations.

Something unique about me

I’m not quick to make purchases. I’ll research and read reviews before buying the most mundane products (sunscreen, earbuds, can openers, etc.).
